Lawson Golf Academy at Blakes is the ideal location to learn, the complex boasts a grass driving range more than 300 yards in length, short game facility and Championship inland links course. If the weather isn’t favourable then there is an 8 bay covered driving range so there isn’t any reason to rearrange your practice or lessons. The practice facility is available to the general public 7 days a week.


Blakes LG Instructors offer golf coaching that covers all areas of the game including.

  • The LG Junior Development Programme.
  • Group Lessons for all. Novice to Golfer; Get into Golf Programme.
  • Pre Lesson Full game Assessment; An assessment of your full game resulting a plan of coaching presented by one of our team LG Golf Professionals.
  • 121 Individual lessons covering all aspects of the game including; Putting, Chipping, Approach play, Mid and long irons, Off the Tee.
  • On-the-Course playing lessons; A must for all serious golfers looking for lower scores.

After qualifying with The Professional Golfers Association Ben Lawson spent the last 20 years learning his craft working with some of the worlds most notable Golf Professional Instructors.Over the last 20 years performing over 20,000 lessons, Ben has developed a simplistic unique approach to golf coaching. Ben's modern approach to instruction is frequently described as 'easy to understand and easy to implement.'

With nearly 20 years of experience Mark has worked with all levels of golfers from beginners to Tour professionalsand was actively involved in the 'Golf for Schools' initiative and regular contributes articles for golf websites and golf magazines.
